Recently I purchased a property near South of England as I wanted one near the beach. The property includes 2 receptions, 2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms and 1 kitchen. The property didn’t have any furniture as it was auctioned out. So I decided to buy modern furniture for this property. The reason for me to buy this property is to rent it out for couple of years and then sell it after the property market rises.

From my personal experience it has indeed helped the value of my property rise just by having eye catching modern furniture in place. I did the same thing with my old property not current but old, I am not homeless haha. The renovation I did by getting new interior and furniture I saw the value of my property rise by 5% in the market. 5% might not sound like a lot of money but if you calculate 5% out of £250,000 than that is a hell lot of money. The renovation did cost me a bit of money but to be honest I got the money back from 5% increase in my property, so couple of thousands can make you few thousands.

I plan to do something similar with the new property I bought. As it is just infront of the beach I would like to rent the property for next couple of years and then see if I want to sell it or move in myself. I plan to add a conservatory in this property which will undoubtedly see the value increase. I also plan to make the interior of the property unique with some restaurant furniture in the kitchen and also big hotel furniture in the living room. You know when you enter a hotel you see huge furniture in their lounge, something similar to that. Uniqueness I believe will win the heart of the person who is willing to rent the property.

I recommend people to renovate their property at least once a year if they wish to sell the property in the near future.
